I get asked all the time about how I am able to differentiate the successful form the un-successful. What is it that makes the difference?
It’s that moment when that person truly says to themselves “enough, I want to live the life of the 3% in the world not the 97%”.
Now, you’re probably thinking that of course everyone wants to be in that 3% of highest earners in the world. My reply to that is, yes they do say this, BUT their actions everyday say something very different.
Let me explain and I want you to work through this with me.
If you are reading this you are probably someone who wants success and essentially wants to make lots of money like the top 3% in the world.
So, I ask you…
- Are you prepared to wipe out weekends for 2 to 3 years?
- Are you prepared to live in the location you may not want to live for 2 to 3 years?
- Are you prepared to drive a worse car than you want to for 2 to 3 years?
- Are you prepared to sometimes work so hard that you do all nighters with no sleep once or twice a week?
See, I ask this because this is difference between saying you want to be successful and living ‘I want to be successful’
Successful people make the news and making the news requires you to answer ‘yes’ to all of the above questions.
A lot of people are actually prepared to do what it actually takes to become that top 3 % in the world. I can tell you after having coached and trained over 50,000 entrepreneurs and start-ups across the world, many say they want it, but do not want to put in the hard work for only 2 to 3 years.
I say 2 to 3 years because this is what it will take to put your business in the place where time off is possible because by then you should have enough revenue and systemised the whole business so it still generates revenue even without you there.
So, I want you to ask yourself today… “ What am I prepared to do?”.
A lot of people come to my seminars and programs and they all say they are prepared to do anything, so I ask “When was the last weekend you worked around the clock getting what is needed to get done so on Monday when your back to work days you are ahead?”
And most of the time the answers I get are “Well I couldn’t last weekend because this was on” and “I haven’t recently because I have been so busy with events on weekends”.
There it is… So they are not really that determined to do what it takes are they?
I want to leave you with this… the lesson here is what is call ‘delayed gratification’. Those who are willing to put in all the work for 2 to 3 years and do what others won’t so they cane live how others can’t; those are true entrepreneurs. I promise you, you work hard now to gain later, success will hit you in the face without you even realising.
Now I want to hear from you… Comment below and share if you are ready to do what it takes to create success. If you are just comment below and tell me you’re ready!
